To provide systems and methods for re-entering the true lumen of a vessel which facilitate formation of a passageway from a subintimal area to the true lumen of the vessel.SOLUTION: While a passageway back into the true lumen is formed in a vascular wall, a re-entry catheter 10 stabilizes and supports a distal tip 16 in a vascular subintimal location by deflecting deflectable struts 20 radially outward of the catheter.
