PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image pickup device that suppresses the reaction force occurring due to the contact of a radiation detector with a body thereof caused by temperature change.SOLUTION: A radiation image pickup device has a radiation detector 12 that detects a radiographic image produced by radiation that transmitted a subject, and is accommodated inside of a body 18 thereof. A surface of the body 18 comes in contact with the radiation detector 12 due to a warp of the radiation detector 12 caused by temperature change. The thickness of the surface of the body 18 is made variable in the vertical direction so that the radiation detector 12 is prevented from the application of stress by the reaction force generated through the contact of the radiation detector 12 with the body 18.
