PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a device-fixing part such as the wall of a building to which a tying device is fixed from being damaged even when excessive load is put on a hook part of a string.SOLUTION: The tying device 1 is equipped with the hook part 10 to which the string A tying a pet is engaged, and a hook part posture-changing mechanism 11 capable of changing the posture of the engaging part 10 between an engaged posture C keeping the engaged state of the string A, and an engagement-canceling posture D canceling the engaged state of the string A.
