A wire fencing system (1) including one or more fencing wires (12) supported by at least two posts (11), at least some of the posts (11) being provided with one or more attachment units (13) which are each arranged in a rotatable manner around a portion of the post (11), a sleeve-shaped body (131) which is provided with means (133, 133a) arranged to releasably fix the attachment unit (13) relative to the post (11) being provided with at least one wire attachment (135) arranged to fix a wire end portion (121, 121') in the axial direction of the fencing wire (12), and being provided with at least one wire abutment (137) arranged to support a portion of the fencing wire (12), the wire abutment (137) surrounding said portion of the fencing wire (12) and restricting the radial movement of said portion of the fencing wire (12) relative to the attachment unit (13). A method of establishing and repairing a wire fencing system (1) is described as well.
