PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen-producing plant and a method for generating the plants producing collagen.SOLUTION: A recombinant collagen produced in a plant or an isolated plant cell is produced by targeting at least one collagen chain and an extrinsic prolyl-4-hydroxylase (P4H) to a vacuole of the plant or isolated plant cell, and enabling hydroxylation of the at least one collagen chain depending on the extrinsic P4H but not depending on endogenous p4H of the plant or isolated plant cell.【課題】コラーゲン生産植物及びその作成方法の提供。【解決手段】植物又は単離された植物細胞中で生産された組み換えコラーゲンであって、植物又は単離された植物細胞の液胞に少なくとも一種のコラーゲン鎖及び外因性プロリル－４－ヒドロキシラーゼ（Ｐ４Ｈ）を標的化して、前記外因性Ｐ４Ｈによるが植物又は単離された植物細胞の内因性Ｐ４Ｈによらない前記少なくとも一種のコラーゲン鎖のヒドロキシル化を可能にすることによって生産された組み換えコラーゲン。【選択図】なし
