PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure that enables propagation and culturing of corals, circulating seawater and forming shades, and has a structure suitable for implanting coral larvae.
SOLUTION: The structure for propagating and culturing corals includes a three-dimensional structure which is a structure 2 constituted of a lattice-shaped structure in which horizontal crosspieces 2a and vertical crosspieces 2b, having surfaces of fixed widths with proper roughness and forming thin plate states, are incorporated into a lattice form, at intervals of, for example, 5 cm so as to make divisions form squares, such that the structure intersects mutually orthogonally in three axial directions x, y and x when the structure is lowered to the sea bottom, it is supported at the sea bottom by at least three points, with each structure 2 standing from the sea bottom, in a state in which one end of the structure is in contact with the sea bottom and the structure becomes a stable support state. Seawater circulates through each structure 2 and the implantation area of coral larvae is wide and when the sunlight shines in the structure, shades are produced by the crosspieces 2a and 2b of the structure 2, and since the coral larvae that enter the lattices are enclosed by the environmental crosspieces 2a an 2b, they are less apt to scatter and implanting of coral larvae are facilitated.
