The present invention discloses a non-invasive multi-channel lung sound analyzer for lung status detection. The present lung sound analysis system comprises plurality of sound capturing sensors disposed on posterior chest of the person to capture the lung sound signal from the person during breathing cycle, a signal acquisition and conditioning unit individually disposed in operative communication with each sound capturing sensors through its corresponding channel to receive the captured lung sound signal, an assembly of A/D converter to receive the acquired lung sound signal from all the channels, a digital computing device to process and analyze the lung sound signal for each channels received from the assembly of A/D converter by Pre-processing the lung sound signal, extracting the Lung sound cycle from the lung sound signal, extracting feature of the Lung sound cycle and thereby comparing the extracted feature with reference training model features to determine the lung status and a cooperative user interface to show the determined lung status.
