A device for securing a wire mesh wall to a supporting wall of an animal enclosure comprises a first body 3 defining an internal cavity 5 for receiving a wire (23, Fig 6) of the mesh, and a second body 7 laterally connected to the first body 3. The second body 7 further has an aperture 13 extending through it for receiving a fixing. A recess is further provided in the second body 7 for receiving the head of the fixing when it is inserted through the aperture. In a preferred arrangement the entrance to the cavity is provided in the lower surface of the first body 3, the surface which abuts against the wall to which the fixing is attached. A third body 25 of similar form to the first may additionally be coupled to the second body 7. The first 3 and third 25 bodies are further preferably arranged such that their cavities 5, 27 are parallel so that a wire can be fitted into both cavities. The third body 27 may further be spaced from the first 3 to define a space 29 therebetween for accommodating vertically extending wire (31, Fig 7).
