Binding protein containing the first and second polypeptide chains, each of which independently contains VD1- (X1) n-VD2-C- (X2) n, where VD1 represents the first variable domain; VD2 represents the second variable domain; C represents constant domain; X1 represents a linker, provided that it is not CH1; X2 represents an Fc region; n is 0 or 1; and where: (a) X1 located between the first and second variable domains is ASTKGP (SEQ ID NO: 21) or TVAAPSVFIFPP (SEQ ID NO: 14); (b) X1 located between the first and second variable domains is themselves ASTKGPSVFPLAP (SEQ ID NO: 22) or TVAAP (SEQ ID NO: 13); or (c) X1 located between the first and second variable domains is ASTKGPSVFPLAP (SEQ ID NO: 22) or TVAAPSVFIFPP (SEQ ID NO: 14), where the VD1 domains on the first and second polypeptide chains form the first functional binding site of the target, and the VD2 domains on the first and second polypeptide chains form the second functional binding site of the target, and where (a) the binding protein is capable of binding tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF), where: (i) the variable domains that form the functional target binding site for TNF contain: three C DR from SEQ ID NO: 28 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 29; three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 36 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 37; three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 38 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO : 39; three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 40 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 41; three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 44 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 45; or three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 46 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 47, and / or (ii) the variable domains that form the functional binding site of the target for NGF contain: three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 30 and three CDRs from SEQ ID NO: 31, (b) a binding protein is capable of binding TNF and sclerostin (SOST), where: (i) the variable domains that form the functional binding site1.
