A physical activity data collection system may include one or more accelerometers configured to provide an output indicative of movements of an individual. The system may also include a controller configured to analyze information relating to the movements of the individual, based on the output of the one or more accelerometers determine a physical activity type associated with the analyzed information and store the determined physical activity type in a memory.
