PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saccharated ferric oxide formulation for injection which can be administered to a patient without being diluted upon its use and also has excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: The saccharated ferric oxide formulation for injection contains: saccharated ferric oxide equivalent to iron of 0.2 to 0.4%(w/v) arginine of 0.25 to 0.5%(w/v) and sucrose of 10 to 20%(w/v). Suitably, the saccharated ferric oxide is colloid, the average particle diameter of the colloid is 10 to 1,000 nm, and the pH of the saccharated ferric oxide formulation for injection is 9 to 10.
