PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramide derivative which can be easily compounded to cosmetic products, has excellent stability in prescribed cosmetics and exhibits excellent effect on skin and hair.SOLUTION: The ceramide derivative includes a structure obtained by acylating a part or the total of hydroxyl groups in a ceramide with a 4-22C linear or branched-chain fatty acid. Since the ceramide derivative has a low melting point and excellent solubility in oils, it is easily compounded to cosmetic products and has excellent stability in prescribed cosmetics.
