An outrigger for supporting an electrified elongate conductor from a fence or other structure, the outrigger comprising: at least one base for attaching the outrigger to a fence or other structure, at least one resilient element adjacent the base, a holder for supporting the conductor, and at least one elongate member extending between the resilient element and the holder to space the conductor laterally away from the fence or other structure, wherein the resilient element(s) is/are configured to deform elastically to allow the elongate member and holder to move from an un-deflected position with the conductor supported away from the fence or other structure to a deflected position towards the fence or other structure upon application of a force lateral to the elongate member or holder.
