Substituované heteropentadieno-pyrrolopyrimidinové ribonukleosidy obecného vzorce I, kde R je furan-2-yl, furan-3-yl, benzofuran-2-yl, methyl, methylsulfanyl, methoxy-, amino- nebo dimethylamino- skupina a kde X je atom kyslíku nebo C1-C5 alkylaminoskupina, nebo farmaceuticky přijatelné soli takových sloučenin, jejich optické izomery či směs takových optických izomerů. Sloučeniny podle tohoto vynálezu vykazují silné cytostatické a cytotoxické účinky na buněčných liniích preferenčně nádorového původu a to u širokého spektra nemocí, zahrnujících nádory různého histogenetického původu.Substituted heteropentadieno-pyrrolopyrimidine ribonucleosides of formula I wherein R is furan-2-yl, furan-3-yl, benzofuran-2-yl, methyl, methylsulfanyl, a methoxy-, amino- or dimethylamino-group and wherein X is an oxygen atom or C1-C5 alkylamino group, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts of such compounds, their optical isomers or a mixture of such optical isomers. The compounds of the invention submitted show strong cytostatic and cytotoxic effects on cell lines of a preferentially tumour origin in a wide variety of diseases, including tumours of a different histogenic origin.
