PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ease the mounting of an acoustic coupler to an ultrasound probe and also to ease the cleaning work even when an excessive amount of echo jelly is applied.SOLUTION: The ultrasound probe coupler is mounted to an acoustic radiation surface side of the ultrasound probe to interpose an acoustic propagation medium between the coupler and the ultrasound probe.
