PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve probing property of a needle to a puncture starting point on the surface of a blood vessel when puncturing the blood vessel through a puncture route.SOLUTION: A dull needle 1 is inserted in the puncture route leading to a hypodermic blood vessel from the skin to puncture the blood vessel. The dull needle 1 includes a tubular part 20 having an inclined end face 20a inclined with respect to an axis A of the needle, and a projecting part 21 projected forward from the tip of the inclined end face 20a of the tubular part 20.
