PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 2 kinds of crystals by a new crystalline polymorphism on temocapril hydrochloride of which crystalline polymorphism was considered as not existing.
SOLUTION: This type I crystal of the hydrochloride of temocapril is provided by having characteristic powder X-ray diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2&theta), 3.80±0.1°, 7.58±0.1°, 15.22±0.1°, 20.46±0.1° and 20.74±0.1°, and recognizing absorptions in the vicinity of 1,496 cm
-1 and 755 cm-1 by an IR spectrum (a paste method), and the type II crystal of the hydrochloride of temocapril is provided by having characteristic powder X-ray diffraction peaks at the Bragg angles (2&theta), 3.70±0.1°, 7.40±0.1°, 14.86±0.1°, 25.46±0.1° and 26.18±0.1°, and without recognizing the absorptions in the vicinity of 1,496 cm-1 and 755 cm-1 by an IR spectrum-measuring method (the paste method).COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
