An apparatus for collecting a tissue sample includes an outer sheath extending from a proximal end to a distal end, a lumen penetrating the outer sheath, and a needle movably accommodated in the outer sheath. The needle includes a channel extending from the proximal end to the serrated distal end and extending therethrough. The needle has an insertion position in which the distal end of the needle is proximal to the distal end of the outer sheath, and an outer sheath for the distal end of the needle to penetrate the target tissue and collect a tissue sample in the channel. Relative to the outer sheath in a longitudinal direction between the distal end of the tube and a tissue collection posture extending distally.
