PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterminating device and method that can efficiently exterminate harmful marine creatures without much adverse effects to biology.SOLUTION: An exterminating device includes: an injection tube 1 that can be inserted into a body of a marine creature and injects compressed-air into the body a control valve 2 for controlling supply and stop of the compressed-air to the injection tube an operation member 3 for opening and closing the control valve an air supply pipe 4 connected via the control valve to the injection tube and a connector 5 for connecting the air supply pipe to an air tank for respiration during diving so as to supply compressed-air to the air supply pipe. The device may have a dedicated air tank. Using such an exterminating device, the injection tube 1 is inserted into the body of a marine creature and compressed-air is injected into the body thereby to destroy tissues of the marine creature. The exterminating device may cause a marine creature to float up to the sea surface by injecting air into the marine creature and then collect the marine creature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】生態に及ぼす影響を小さく抑えるとともに、効率よく有害な海中生物を駆除することができる駆除装置及び駆除方法を提供する。【解決手段】海中生物の体内に突き刺すことができ、圧縮空気を海中生物の体内に注入する注入管1と、注入管に送り込む圧縮空気の供給と遮断とを制御する制御弁2と、制御弁の開閉操作を行うための操作部材3と、制御弁を介して注入管に接続された空気供給管4と、空気供給管に圧縮空気が供給されるように、空気供給管を潜水時の呼吸用空気タンクに接続するコネクター5と、を備えるものとする。専用の空気タンクを有するものであってもよい。このような駆除装置を用い、海中生物の体内に注入管1を突き刺し、圧縮空気を注入することによって海中生物の組織を破壊する。海中生物の体内に注入した空気によって海中生物を海面上に浮上させ、収容するものであってもよい。【選択図】図1
