PURPOSE: A mulching cap for agriculture is provided to improve the sugar content and the growth development of fruits or vegetables by elevating the light reflectivity of 720-740nm near the infrared ray region. CONSTITUTION: A mulching cap for agriculture comprises: 100 wt% of synthetic resin, 25-30 wt% of near infrared reflecting dye, and 4-5 wt% of ultraviolet stabilizer. The near infrared reflecting dye reflects rays of 720-740nm near infrared ray region. The near infrared reflecting dye is selected among Naphtol AS dyes or carmine dyes. The synthetic resin is selected among the polypropylene resin, the polyethylene resin, and the polyvinyl chloride resin. The mulching cap for agriculture is equipped with a circular main body(11), a flange part(12) headed to the lower part on the peripheral of the circular main body. A penetration hole(13) is formed on the center of the main body for stems to be passed. A penetration passage(14) is connected to the penetration hole and the outer peripheral, and formed for stems to be inserted. The mulching cap for agriculture forms concavo-convex shapes with constant interval on the surface of the cap. The mulching cap for agriculture has 35-38% of reflectance in the near infrared ray region.본 발명은 농작물의 재배시 농작물에 직접 조사되는 태양광에 의한 광합성 작용뿐만 아니라 농작물의 줄기가 지면에 묻히는 부분을 덮어씌우는 근적외선 반사기능을 갖는 농업용 멀칭캡에 관한 것으로, 농업용 멀칭캡 표면에 일정간격으로 형성된 오목한 반원 홈 형상의 면 또는 삼각 프리즘 홈 형상의 면으로부터 720~740nm의 근적외선 파장영역의 광선이 산란반사, 회절반사 등에 의해 농작물의 하부로부터 상부로 향해 난반사됨으로써, 광합성에 의한 과실 또는 채소류의 생육 발달과 함께 특히 당도를 향상시켜 상품성을 높임으로써, 농민들의 수익향상과 영농에 있어서 본 발명의 기여도는 클 것으로 보여진다.
