PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for treating a vessel and other duct in a body.SOLUTION: A device 10 has a self-extension member 12. The self-extension member has a proximal end part and a main body part. The self-extension member can move from a first feeding position to a second detention position, and the self-extension member is in a non-extension state at the first feeding position and has a first nominal diameter, and the self-extension member is in an extension state in which the member is extended in a radial direction and has a second nominal diameter at the second detention position. The second nominal diameter is larger than the first nominal diameter for expansion in a lumen or in an internal duct of a patient. The self-extension member has plural cell structures.
