PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body support device having high safety in use, and capable of being easily used.SOLUTION: A body support device comprises an arm part 3 for body support which is attached to a fixing member 5 with a connection metal fitting 10. The arm part 3 is attached to the fixing member 5 so as to freely swing vertically in an angle range θ of a suspended posture T0 and a small angle upward inclined posture T2, and the arm part 3 is in a swing free state from the suspended posture T0 to immediately before becoming a horizontal posture T1, and at the horizontal posture T1, the arm part becomes a lock state in which downward swing is inhibited.
