PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition improving dyeing properties and hue persistence and including a component capable of reducing hair damage.SOLUTION: The hair dye composition includes, as active ingredients: one or more natural ingredients selected from the group consisting of a green tea polysaccharide, a cypress polysaccharide, Paeonia Lactiflora, a lotus root and Eclipta prostrata and a carbohydrate, a derivative thereof or a mixture of them. A monosaccharide, which is a unit of carbohydrates, is a saccharide produced when a polysaccharide (starch, cellulose and the like) is hydrolyzed with an acid or enzyme. Specifically, the monosaccharide can be rhamnose, glucose, galactose, fructose or xylose.
