A reflected image RF of the tissue irradiated with the illumination light on the abdominal cavity side is captured. Based on image information obtained by the capturing, an oxygen saturation image 146 indicating the oxygen state of the tissue on the abdominal cavity side is created. The created oxygen saturation image 146 is displayed on a display device.
