Apparatus for wearing over a thumb is provided. The apparatus comprises: (i) a tool selected from the group consisting of: a blade (24), and a flower-stem stripper (30) (ii) a rigid thimble (26) shaped to define a tool-coupling portion (28) at a distal portion of the rigid thimble, the tool-coupling portion being shaped to firmly hold the tool and (iii) a removable rigid ring (32) shaped to secure the thimble to the thumb by squeezing a proximal portion of the thimble when the thimble is worn over the thumb.
