A patient transfer-assisting device (1) comprising two longitudinal hollow rods (2), multiple supporting cushioned panels (5, 6, 7, 8), multiple interlocking rings or stoppers (4) to lock the supporting panels over the rods, at least two small transverse steel rods (3) for maintaining the width and providing support in between to longitudinal rods, comfortable cushioning with slippery cover over the supporting panels, especially, for supports on the neck and lumber, reinforcements of leather/jute/sisal and a high tear strength fabric with low coefficient of friction, means provided on the rods to enable use of cantilever hoists for assisting in lifting and putting down the device.
