The present invention refers to a robot for shaping arch wires used by the lingual orthodontics technique, using appropriate compensations following the mushroom design determined by Dr. Kinya Fujita. Said robot works by instructions send by a computer software. The robot is characterized in that it pertains, according to the different classifications approved by the Robotic Institutional federation, to the third generation or type C, since it is programmable by the sensors located in the servos (potentiometers of position). The present invention is formed by 4 servo pistons which move over an individual axis through a screw running mechanism displaced by cranks or in a manual form. In such a manner, the blocks for fastening the wire are located in a predetermine point, which enable the same to be aligned with front pieces, this forming the desired arch. Once the arch is formed, the grooves of the fastening blocks are brought together for enabling the wire to be inserted in a correct manner so as to be bent. The grooves of the fastening blocks allow the wire to be supplied and facilitate the same to be bent. The steel edges of the fastening blocks are the bending points, thus the wire may acquire the required shape. The piston rod is moved from a starting position dictated by a signal of a computer software in which the movements of dental pieces were previously selected, the electronic board may receive the serial signal by means of a protocol for this type of train of pulses (rs232). Where a control system, a microprocessor, microcontroller or any signal processing system, may translate these data and transform it into a signal compatible with the servomotors.
