PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a spool to be thumbed in adjusting output even when output of a motor is adjusted by the movement of an output adjusting part.SOLUTION: An electric reel 10 can play out forward a fishing line to whose tip a fishing tackle is attached. The electric reel 10 includes a reel body 12, a motor 14 fixed to the reel body 12, a spool 16, a rotation transmission mechanism 18, an output adjusting part 20, a moving position detection part 22, and a control part 24. The spool 16 is rotatably attached to the reel body 12, and is rotatably driven by the motor 14. The rotation transmission mechanism 18 transmits the rotation of the motor 14 to the spool 16. The output adjusting part 20 includes a water depth display part 40 for displaying the water depth of the fishing tackle, is movably provided to the reel body 12, and can adjust the output of the motor. The moving position detection part 22 detects the moving position of the output adjusting part 20.
