PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double bearing reel which has a water depth-display portion and an operation mechanism and can easily switch the operating mechanism.SOLUTION: This double bearing reel comprises a handle, the reel body 1, a spool 12, a water depth-displaying portion 13, a spool sound-producing mechanism 14 and a sound-producing knob 16. The reel body includes the first side cover 6, which has a partially expanded portion 6a on the side and covers the outside of the first side plate. The water depth-display portion is received in the expanded portion and can electrically display the water depth of a tackle, in an interlocked fashion with the rotation of the spool. The spool sound-producing mechanism is a mechanism which can produce sounds in relation to the rotation of the spool and can be switched into a sound-producing state or a sound-non-producing state.
