An assembly useful for preparing a prosthetic crown for fitting to a tooth of a patient is accordingly described herein. The assembly includes (a) a polymer dental model having a shape corresponding to at least a portion of a dental arch of a patient and a socket formed therein, the socket having a socket wall, and (b) a polymer die having an upper portion configured in the shape of a tooth of a patient and a lower stem configured for insertion into the socket. At least one of the stem and the socket wall are configured to have both a relaxed position when the die is not in the socket, and a tensioned position when the die is fully inserted in the socket, so that the stem is firmly and accurately engaged by the socket when the die is inserted therein.La présente invention concerne un ensemble utile pour préparer une couronne prothétique à des fins de fixation sur une dent dun patient. Lensemble comprend (a) un moulage dentaire polymère ayant une forme correspondant à au moins une partie dune arcade dentaire dun patient et une emboîture formée à lintérieur de celui-ci, lemboîture ayant une paroi demboîture, et (b) une matrice polymère ayant une partie supérieure présentant la forme dune dent dun patient et une tige inférieure conçue pour être insérée dans lemboîture. Au moins lune parmi la tige et de la paroi demboîture est conçue pour avoir à la fois une position relâchée lorsque la matrice nest pas dans lemboîture, et une position sous tension lorsque la matrice est complètement insérée dans lemboîture, de telle sorte que la tige est fermement et précisément rendue solidaire de lemboîture lorsque la matrice est insérée à lintérieur de celle-ci.
