PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article hardly causing a body fluid leakage by allowing the center of a crotch section of shorts to easily coincide with an excretion part region of a sanitary napkin when attaching the sanitary napkin to the shorts.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1A includes a surface sheet 2, a rear face sheet 3 and an absorber 4 disposed between both sheets, and has a forward expanded U-shaped wearing mark 8 on the surface sheet 2 in a plan view from the surface sheet 2. In the expanded U-shaped wearing mark 8, both front side ends 8b, 8b of the expanded U-shaped wearing mark 8 are located forward from a front side folding line 11 formed when individually packaged, and formed toward both longitudinal side parts 5s, 5s and in a position not reaching the front end 4b on the front side of the absorber 4. Further in the expanded U-shaped wearing mark 8, the rear side end 8c of the expanded U-shaped wearing mark 8 is formed in the width direction (Y-direction) central region of the absorbent article.
