<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which surely prevents leakage from the periphery of legs even for a person with hypermenorrhea or the like and is fitted to the body and not easily twisted. <；P>；SOLUTION: In the absorbent article for which an absorbent 4 is interposed between a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and a back surface sheet 2, the absorbent 4 is provided with a pair of right and left absorbents 4B and 4B for the periphery of the legs which are exposed to the outside of shorts S to cover the root part of the legs of a wearer in addition to an absorbent main body 4A positioned inside the shorts in a worn state, and easily deformable flexible shafts 6 and 6 are formed along the boundary of the absorbent main body and the absorbents for the periphery of the legs corresponding to a shorts line S1.
