An endoscope that can simply attach and fix a camera unit to a tip portion main body without deforming the camera unit is provided. The tip portion main body 30 is provided with a camera unit attachment hole 51 that penetrates in an axial direction of an insertion section. One of a camera unit 19 and a locking plate 70 is provided with a projection 73, and the other thereof is provided with an elongated hole 72. The camera unit 19 and the locking plate 70 are inserted into the camera unit attachment hole 51 in a state where the projection 73 is engaged with the elongated hole 72. A tip portion of the camera unit is fitted to a tip portion of the camera unit attachment hole 51 and only movement thereof in the axial direction is allowed. A fixing screw 71 is attached to a fixing screw insertion hole 76 of the tip portion main body 30, and the locking plate 70 is pushed against and fixed to a side wall 78 of the camera unit attachment hole 51 by the fixing screw 71. The movement of the camera unit 19 in the axial direction is regulated, and the camera unit 19 is fixed to the tip portion main body 30.
