PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental treatment device which enables a cutting object to be safely and correctly cut without reference to a shape of a cutting tool held by a head part.SOLUTION: A dental treatment device includes a hand piece 1, a power source (micromotor 7), a drive unit (motor driver 13), and a control unit 11. The hand piece 1 makes a head part 2 hold a cutting tool 5. The power source drives the cutting tool 5. The drive unit drives the cutting tool 5 in such a manner that first drive for driving the cutting tool 5 clockwise and second drive for driving the cutting tool counterclockwise can be switched. In the case where a rotation direction of making the cutting tool 5 cut a cutting object is a normal-rotation direction and where a rotation direction opposite to the normal rotation direction is a reverse-rotation direction, the control unit 11 sets the first drive as normal-rotation drive in the use of the first cutting tool for cutting the cutting object by rotating the cutting tool clockwise in a leading-end direction, and sets the second drive as normal-rotation drive in the use of the second cutting tool for cutting the cutting object by rotating the cutting tool counterclockwise.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、ヘッド部に保持している切削工具の形状に関わらず、安全で、正しく切削対象物を切削することが可能な歯科用治療装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、ハンドピース1と、動力源(マイクロモータ7)と、駆動部(モータドライバ13)と、制御部11とを備える歯科用治療装置である。ハンドピース1は、ヘッド部2に、切削工具5を保持する。動力源は、切削工具5を駆動する。駆動部は、切削工具5を右回りに駆動する第1駆動と、左回りに駆動する第2駆動とを切換可能に、切削工具5を駆動する。制御部11は、切削工具5が切削対象物を切削する回転方向を正転、正転の逆回転方向を逆転とする場合に、先端方向を向いて右に回すことで切削対象物を切削する第1切削工具のとき、第1駆動を正転の駆動と設定し、左に回すことで切削対象物を切削する第2切削工具のとき、第2駆動を正転の駆動と設定する。【選択図】図2
