Disclosed is a closed mercury-free sphygmomanometer used for measuring human blood pressure: inflating and pressurizing the cuff (17) tied on a human arm by a pressurized gas tube (21) using a pressurizing and air inflating ball (20), wherein the pressure in the cuff (17) will pressurize a closed pressure reservoir cylinder (14) through an interconnected gas tube (16), and push an elastic, stretchable corrugated pipe (15), which is closed in the pressure reservoir cylinder (14), made of a metal or rubber carbon plastic material to be filled up with a transparent or colored antifreeze liquid, and the antifreeze liquid (8) in the corrugated pipe (15) flows up and down along a glass tube (3) provided with a lateral tee joint (9) and a vertical tee joint (6) connected together and provided with a blood pressure scale (2) at the outside in the glass tube (3) under the action of the theory of communicating vessels, resulting in the measurement (2) of human bodys blood pressure on the blood pressure scale. A light emitting diode (7) is provided below the vertical tee joint (6) and thus makes light highlights form on the liquid column. A heart rate measurement sensor (18) is provided in the cuff (17) and displays the measured data on a digital heart rate displayer (19). The sphygmomanometer is also equipped with an automatic switch and overvoltage alarms.
