PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive material which is improved in workability and stability by a relatively simple method and at a low cost.
SOLUTION: The adhesive material comprises an adhesive layer 2 overlying one surface of a supporter 1 to have a thickness of R, and a liner 3 overlying the adhesive layer 3 to have a thickness of T, wherein the liner 3 is provided with a groove of halfcut 4 which has a substantially rectangular sectional view to have a groove width of 200 &mum or less and a groove depth of 14T/15 or more and less than (T+R). The halfcut 4 can be formed by irradiating laser beam the liner 3 overlying the adhesive layer 3 from above. The halfcut 4, which has a groove width of 50 &mum or more, is preferably provided with small ridges 5 along both the groove peripheries of the halfcut 4 on the surface of the liner 3.
