A harvester feeder (220) may include a housing (24) forming a crop passage (32) having a width (W) and a conveyor (30) supported by the housing (24) to extend above crops being conveyed along the crop passage (32). The conveyor (30) may include a frame (40), at least one forward tensioner (42), at least one drive sprocket (44) and at least one belt (50) about the forward tensioner (42) and the drive sprocket (44). In one implementation, the at least one belt forms a substantially uninterrupted crop engaging belt surface (54) extending across a majority of the width (W). In one implementation, each belt (50) has an upper portion (51) and a lower portion with the lower portion (53) being adjacent the crop passage (32), wherein a crop massager (60) extends between the upper portion (51) and the lower portion (53) and resume only presses the lower portion (53) of the continuous belt (50) towards the crop passage (32).
