PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor of an optical scanning type endoscope for generating normal images and information on self-fluorescence.
SOLUTION: The processor of an optical scanning type endoscope includes a light receiving unit 40 and an image signal processing circuit 22. The light receiving unit 40 includes an excitation light cut filter 42, optical receivers 45r, 45g, 45b, and a spectroscope 47. A reflected light fiber 55 transmits reflected light of a region to be observed which is irradiated with white light or reflected light of the region to be observed which is irradiated with the excitation light and the self-fluorescence by the excitation light to the light receiving unit 40. The filter 42 removes excitation light components from the light transmitted to the reflected light fiber 55. The optical receivers 45r, 45g, 45b generate pixel signals corresponding to color components of the light which penetrates through the filter 42. The circuit 22 generates reference image signals or fluorescent image signals based on the pixel signals. The spectroscope 47 detects a spectral spectrum of the light which penetrates through the filter 42.
