The present invention relates to a versatile influenza virus vaccine composition using an HA2 helical domain of a hemagglutinin protein which is surface protein of influenza virus. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating influenza infection. A polypeptide represented by sequence number 3 and a polypeptide represented by 379-474 residues of sequence number 1 can be mass-produced in Escherichia coli, and enable the effective production of neutralizing antibody against various influenza subtypes.
