PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod in which a fishing rod is surely held by a rod holder while maintaining ease of removal when an angler removes the fishing rod from the rod holder. SOLUTION: A fishing rod 10 has a fishing rod main body 13 and a stone tip 21 provided at a rear end portion of the fishing rod main body 13 and having a groove 26 formed in a surface 22. The groove 26 extends along the width direction 101. The groove 26 extends from one end to the other end of the stone tip 21 in the width direction 101. The bottom surface 29 of the groove 26 is composed of surfaces 29A and 29B. The surface 29A is a flat surface formed on the bottom surface 29 other than both ends in the width direction 101. The surface 29B is a curved surface formed at both ends of the bottom surface 29 in the width direction 101, and gradually moves away from the opening toward the outside of the width direction 101.
