A method of improving the resolution of images from medical imaging devices by removing blurring due to movement of a patient during a scan. The method uses tracking algorithms to extract movement data from a video image of the patient and uses the movement data to correct the scanner date and remove the effects of movement. Also disclosed is a calibration process to calibrate the movement data to the scanner data.Linvention concerne un procédé pour améliorer la résolution dimages provenant de dispositifs dimagerie médicale par la suppression du flou dû au mouvement du patient au cours dun balayage. Le procédé utilise des algorithmes suiveurs pour extraire les données de mouvement provenant dune image vidéo du patient et utilise les données de mouvement pour corriger les données du tomographe et éliminer les effets de mouvement. Linvention concerne également un procédé détalonnage pour étalonner les données de mouvement par rapport aux données du tomographe.
