PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber having excellent deodorizing function to various odors and a knitted fabric having deodorizing function containing the fiber, or a method for obtaining the fiber with good spinning property.SOLUTION: There is provided a fiber containing 1 to 4 mass% of deodorant antibacterial substance containing metal oxide and having average particle diameter of 0.4 to 1.0 μm obtained by dry spinning a dope containing the deodorant antibacterial substance having the average particle diameter of 0.4 to 1.0 μm by mixing a slurry consisting of the deodorant antibacterial substance, a solvent and a dispersion stabilizer in a solution where cellulose acetate is dissolved in the solvent.
