The invention relates to a tooth implant (1) that is produced partially or completely from polyetheretherketone. It is proposed that a first surface area (34, 35, 36, 37, 38) of a tooth implant region (34, 35, 36, 37, 38), of which the implant material consists of polyetheretherketone or at least has polyetheretherketone, and at least a second surface area (34, 35, 36, 37, 38) of a tooth implant region (34, 35, 36, 37, 38), of which the implant material consists of polyetheretherketone or at least has polyetheretherketone, are each prepared by means of mechanical and/or physical and/or chemical action, such that the surface retentivity of the surface obtained from the preparation of the first surface area differs at least in parts from the surface retentivity of the surface obtained from the preparation of the second surface area, and such that the surface retentivity of the surfaces obtained from the preparation differs at least in parts from the surface retentivity of the surface area (34, 35, 36, 37, 38) respectively assigned thereto before the preparation. The invention further relates to a method for producing or working a tooth implant (1).
