The present invention addresses the problem of providing a motive power transmission device which has a relatively simple structure and which can operate a bicycle or the like with a light force. This motive power transmission device includes at least one first gear (10A, 10B), and one roller chain (20) that engages with the first gear. The first gear (10A, 10B) has at least two magnetic teeth (11) which each have a magnetic surface on a front surface and/or a rear surface thereof.
