A disposable diaper 1 has a pair of cuffs 32, 33 extending in a longitudinal direction A and being stretchable and contractible along respective sides thereof. The cuff 32 of the paired cuffs includes a first elastic member 47 attached to an outer edge of this cuff. The cuff 33 of the paired cuffs includes a proximal edge 44 fixed to an inner side thereof and a second elastic member 49 attached to a free edge thereof. At least one of the paired cuffs 32, 33 additionally includes a third elastic member 60 attached thereto in the vicinity of the zone in which the proximal edge 44 is fixed.
