PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watching device capable of detecting apnea of a cared person.SOLUTION: A distance image sensor 11 time-sequentially acquires distance images of an area including an upper surface of a bed on which a cared person exists. A conversion section 12 converts respective pixel values of multiple pixels in each distance image from a polar coordinate system into a rectangular coordinate system by defining a coordinate of a first point of the distance image sensor 11 as an original point.
