PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user operable driving tool for a wheelchair capable of securely generating a wedge effect in a forward movement mode and a backward movement mode and making a user easily move a wheelchair forward and backward with a small force by turning a control lever in forward and backward directions.SOLUTION: In a user operable driving tool 10 for a wheelchair, when a control lever enters a second turning area 16, a second clutch rotates circumferentially rearward by an energization force of a first coil spring, a contact part of the second clutch moves an engagement roller to a rear end portion of a space, and a traveling mode is switched to a forward movement mode in which forward turning torque of the lever 13 is transmitted from the clutch ring to a torque transmission mechanism by a wedge effect of the roller held between a recess of a first clutch and an inner peripheral edge of a clutch ring. In the forward movement mode, when the lever 13 is turned forward, a main wheel circumferentially rotates forward, and then the wheelchair moves forward.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】前進モードや後退モードにおいてくさび効果を確実に発生させることができ、操作レバーを車椅子の前後方向へ旋回させることで車椅子を容易かつわずかな力で前進、後退させることができる車椅子用自走機具を提供する。【解決手段】車椅子用自走機具10では、操作レバー13が第2旋回エリア16に入ると、第1コイルスプリングの付勢力によって第2クラッチが周り方向後方へ回転し、第2クラッチの当接部が噛み合いローラをスペースの後端部分に移動させ、第1クラッチの凹部とクラッチリングの内周縁とに挟まれたローラのくさび効果によってレバー13の前方への旋回トルクがクラッチリングからトルク伝達機構に伝達される前進モードに切り替わり、前進モードにおいてレバー13を前方へ旋回させることで主輪が周り方向前方へ回転して車椅子が前進する。【選択図】図1
