PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the state of an isolator ready for the start of the next work earlier if a sterilization process is executed between the last work and the next work.
SOLUTION: The isolator 100 comprises a working chamber 10, a gas feeding part 20, a gas discharging part 30, a first flow passage 40 having a HEPA (High Efficient Particulate Air) filter 42, a second flow passage 50 having a HEPA filter 52, a first bypass channel 44, a second bypass channel 54, a sterilization substance feeding part 70, and a control part. The control part controls the sterilization substance to be fed from the sterilization substance feeding part 70 with the flow passage unused for the last work isolated from the working chamber 10 and to sterilize the interior of the working chamber 10 and the flow passage used for the last work. The control part also changes the gas flow passage at prescribed timing to make the working chamber 10 usable by using the flow passage unused for the last work, isolates the flow passage used for the last work from the working chamber 10, and controls the gas flowing through the flow passage to be fed to a bypass channel communicating with the flow passage.
