The present invention relates to a hydrophilic medical catheter which significantly increases lubrication on a surface of the catheter on which friction occurs when the catheter is inserted into a body by enhancing hydrophilicity of the catheter by forming a first plasma coating on the surface of the catheter and forming a second coating layer containing oxidized polysaccharide and a hydrophilic polymer on the first plasma coating. The hydrophilic medical catheter manufactured according to the present invention is excellent in biocompatibility and maintains a self-lubricating property of the surface of the catheter so that no lubricant treatment process is needed before insertion into the human body conduit, and can be applied to various medical conduits to be inserted into the conduit in the body including the catheter as well as blood vessels since no side effects such as perforation and separation of the human body conduit and tissue damage occur.본 발명은 카테터의 표면에 플라즈마 제1 코팅층을 형성하고, 상기 플라즈마 제1 코팅층 위에 산화 다당류 및 친수성 고분자를 함유하는 제2 코팅층을 형성함으로써, 카테터의 친수성을 향상시켜 인체 내 삽입시 조직과 마찰이 발생하는 카테터의 표면 부위에 윤활성을 크게 증가시키는 친수성 의료용 카테터에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따라 제조된 친수성 의료용 카테터는 생체적합성이 우수하고, 카테터 표면의 자체 윤활성을 유지함으로써 인체 도관 내 삽입 전 윤활제 처리과정이 필요 없을 뿐만 아니라, 인체 도관의 천공 및 분리, 조직 손상 등의 부작용이 발생하지 않아 혈관용 이외에도 도뇨관을 비롯한 인체 내 도관에 삽입하는 다양한 의료용 도관으로서 응용이 가능하다.
