The present invention relates to a medical catheter. Oxidized polysaccharides and hydrophilic polymers are coated on the surface of a medical catheter by using an oxidizer. Thus, the hydrophilic properties of a medical catheter are improved, and lubricant properties are remarkably improved on the surface of the medical catheter, where friction occurs with tissue when being inserted in a human body. The medical catheter produced according to the present invention includes a coating layer containing oxidized polysaccharides and hydrophilic polymers, and has excellent biocompatibility. The lubricant properties of the surface of the medical catheter are maintained, so a lubricant treating step does not have to be performed before inserting the medical catheter in a human body tube. A human body tube is not punched and separated, and tissue damage does not occur, so the medical catheter can be variously utilized not only for blood vessels but also for in vivo tubes.본 발명은 산화제를 이용하여 산화시킨 산화 다당류 및 친수성 고분자를 의료용 카테터의 표면에 코팅함으로써, 의료용 카테터의 친수성을 향상시켜 인체 내 삽입시 조직과 마찰이 발생하는 의료용 카테터의 표면 부위에 윤활성을 크게 증가시키는 기술에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따라 제조된 산화 다당류 및 친수성 고분자 함유 코팅층을 포함하는 의료용 카테터는 생체적합성이 우수하고, 카테터 표면의 자체 윤활성을 유지함으로써 인체 도관 내 삽입 전 윤활제 처리과정이 필요 없을 뿐만 아니라, 인체 도관의 천공 및 분리, 조직 손상 등의 부작용이 발생하지 않아 혈관용 이외에도 도뇨관을 비롯한 인체 내 도관에 삽입하는 다양한 의료용 도관으로서 응용이 가능하다.
